Timbazo is a dazzling latin supergroup that heats up any place by uniting Cuban timba, jazz and ‘salsa dura’. Band members originate from Cuba, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Germany and The Netherlands. Founder Nils Fischer, one of Europe’s best percussionists, selected a top line-up featuring amazing singers.
After numerous concerts at among others North Sea Jazz and many great festivals, Timbazo presents on this evening its long-awaited third album Otra Idea Más with 100% new repertoire from Tony Pérez, the legendary Cuban poet, composer and arranger. For this recording, the band collaborated with major stars such as Issac Delgado, Alexander Abreu and sax legend Paquito D’Rivera. It’s the successor to ¡Gracias Joe Cuba! and Rumberos a Montón, which were both voted best salsa album of the year by the international press.
After the concert the music will continue with Salsa Panorama, a Cuban salsa party at our café, where everybody is invited to dance.
