Delvon Lamarr wants nothing less than to improve the world with his rousing organ sound, a contemporary update of Booker T. & The M.G.’s, The Meters and other legends. Live, he plays with keen awareness of the room and the audience, which promises a special debut of his trio on our stage. And if their many albums are anything to go by, it will be a show full of soul jazz and New Orleans funk, with a hint of psychedelic guitar à la Jimi Hendrix.
