What do you support?
BIMHUIS started in 1974 as a place for and by musicians, where the newest music could be heard and musicians were paid fairly. That idea still stands. Your support goes to all those headstrong musicians who fill our hall with state-of-the-art jazz and improvised music more than 250 times a year.
Your support also goes to new work by young artists in BIMHUIS Productions, our education projects and the rich archive of BIMHUIS Radio & TV.
We earn around two thirds of our income ourselves; for the rest, we depend on subsidies and donations. Big or small, one-off or long-term: every contribution counts.
Become a Vriend or Vriend+
For €100 a year you become a Vriend of BIMHUIS. You receive an invitation to our New Year’s concert and the season opening, the Vriends’ newsletter every quarter and a discount on selected concerts.
Would you like to give extra support? You can become a Vriend+ from €250 a year.
Join NEWTHING
NEWTHING is an exclusive giving circle of committed members, centred on making room for innovation. NEWTHING chooses music that has yet to prove itself: for young professional musicians developing their own signature, and for projects that cannot be funded from our regular budget.
You join NEWTHING with a gift of €2,500 a year, for a period of at least five years.
Bequest
BIMHUIS would never have existed without a group of pioneers who took over a furniture shop in 1974 and made it the place for jazz and improvised music. What they started, we carry on. Support us by including BIMHUIS in your will, and help make sure we can keep going for at least another 50 years.
Donation
With a one-off or periodic donation, you contribute directly to our programme, talent development and education. You can decide where your donation goes and earmark it for a specific part of our work or a specific purpose.
ANBI and tax-friendly donation
BIMHUIS is designated by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration as a cultural Public Benefit Organisation (cultural ANBI). This means we pay no gift or inheritance tax: your gift benefits the music in full. If you pay tax in the Netherlands, your gift is also deductible, and because we are a cultural ANBI you may increase it by 25% in your tax return. You can find more information on our ANBI page
