In Team Hegdal we recognize top players from Scandinavian jazz who have previously performed on our stage in bands such as Trondheim Jazz Orchestra, Gard Nilssen’s Supersonic Orchestra en Bushman’s Revenge. Together they form a supergroup with an unmistakable sound: virtuosic, playful, and rich in ensemble communication.

Team Hegdal has earned wide acclaim for its inventive energy, telepathic interplay, and captivating live performances. Of their five albums, Vol. 3 has won a Spellemannprisen, the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy. Double bassist Ole Morten Vågan and drummer Gard Nilssen have formed the rhythm section for a while now. Now they will be accompanied by established trumpeter Eivind Lønning, alongside band leader Eirik Hegdal. This Norwegian sax and clarinet player has previously performed with the likes of Joshua Redman, Dave Holland and Pat Metheny.
