Rufus Cappadocia was given a cello at a very young age, but his musical heart really started to beat when he first heard a “walking bass”. He is a musical nomad who plays with musicians from all over the world and who has music from all directions in his backpack, from the Middle East, West Africa, the Balkans, Southern Europe, blues, rock and jazz, elements of American roots, to the rhythms of the Caribbean. Rufus Cappadocia: “When I look back at what I’ve been doing all these years, I see that everything is connected. When I play solo I am back to basics and all explorations and collaborations come from one source. ”
