Italian bassist Rosa Brunello lives up to her own motto: music without borders. She was educated in Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam and toured all over the world, for example with jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater. She delved into electronics, dub, rock and South American music, playing both double bass and bass guitar. All these influences find their way in her colorful music, with grooves and free improvisation as guiding principles.

Rosa Brunello’s current band features acclaimed players from British and Italian jazz, including trumpeter Yazz Ahmed, who previously performed on our stage as a band leader. This group originates from Rosa’s consecutive albums Sounds Like Freedom en Senseless Acts of Love. Tracks from these albums were remixed for the recent album Reworks, for which Rosa took on the role of producer and collaborated with DJs such as Eva Geist and Khalab.

Tamar Osborn baritone sax/flute, Yazz Ahmed trumpet/flugelhorn, Enrico Terragnoli guitar, Rosa Brunello electric bass/double bass, Marco Frattini drums/percussion
