Pablo Held, once known as Germany’s rising piano star, celebrates two decades as a close-knit trio with bassist Robert Landfermann and drummer Jonas Burgwinkel. The three are widely recognized for their fluent interplay. Now they celebrate their anniversary with one of their admirers, Chris Potter, one of the most significant saxophone players of his generation. With his endlessly inventive playing and beautiful sound he is regarded as a role model for young players.

Pablo Held gained well-deserved international acclaim in 2015 for his collaborative album The Trio Meets John Scofield. Guitar master John Scofield openly admired the trio, just like other jazz legends such as Wayne Shorter and Ralph Towner. Outside of his playing, the German pianist has gathered a following with his podcast Pablo Held Investigates, for which he has interviewed dozens of performers from the world of music.
