Mahsa Vahdat is one of Iran’s most acclaimed vocalists. Her voice carries the rich tradition of Persian classical music, yet reaches far beyond: she has worked with Kronos Quartet, Amsterdam Sinfonietta and Pacific Symphony. Now she performs with pianist Tord Gustavsen, who has graced our stage before with his subtle piano playing and breathtaking improvisations. Together they create a dialogue between Persian melodies, poetry and contemporary jazz.
