Rembrandt Frerichs piano, Tony Overwater bass, Vinsent Planjer drums
Efraïm Trujillo tenorsax
Teus Nobel trumpet
It always feels like a breath of fresh air when you experience Rembrandt Frerichs treading off the beaten path to fuse jazz, classical and world music in a natural way. His guests are two horn players who are also known for their sonic wealth and who can reach for glory while grabbing everyone’s attention: saxophonist Efraïm Trujillo and trumpeter Teus Nobel.
Efraïm Trujillo is inevitable as the saxophonist of The Ploctones, Preacher Men and New Cool Collective Bigband: lyrical, entertaining and powerful at the same time. Trumpeter Teus Nobel shines in his own band as a front man, but previously also as the solist of the Royal Air Force Orchestra. Rembrandt Frerichs forms a solid unity with double bassist Tony Overwater and drummer Vinsent Planjer. From jazz heroes to Arabic legends: they all love to play with this trio.
