Buisonic sounds angular, sultry, raw and pleasing to the ear at the same time, in short, everything you want to feel at a live concert, and you only need to listen. However, it’s also rewarding to see this living music machine in motion: five characterful players, improvising their way through rich musical landscapes.
Electric guitars play a central part in this new band led by Joost Buis. As a trombonist he’s inspired by famous colleagues as well as his favorite singers. As a composer he has previously explored the space jazz territory of Sun Ra. Additionally, Buisonic consists of Telecaster maestros Paul Pallesen and Jeroen Kimman, double bassist Dion Nijland and Knalpot drummer Gerri Jäger. The latter will be replaced by Tristan Renfrow during this concert.
