He disappeared for years, moving through underground scenes in Europe and South America, leaving little documentation behind. Jimi Prasad is a figure that fires the imagination. More tangible is his Jimi Prasad Orchestra, which he assembled with master trumpeter Avishai Cohen and producer/multi-instrumentalist Rejoicer. A group of exceptional musicians selected not only for their technical level, but for something harder to define: the ability to listen to what is not being said.

The orchestra’s sound cuts across deep funk and baroque textures, indie rock, live electronics and traditional folk music. The concert shifts between intimate, almost fragile moments and sweeping rhythmic outbursts. After a long period of incubation, the orchestra now embarks on its first European tour, performing new music alongside repertoire from the earlier album Help With Your Heart and the EP Nolite Opus.
