Celebrate the new year with a fresh edition of Jazzfest Minifest. This mini festival, organized by Jazzfest Amsterdam, serves as a prelude to the full festival, which takes place on Saturday 20 March in Indische Buurt, Amsterdam-Oost. Jazzfest Minifest features young talents alongside established names from various genres of music, who will form remarkable combinations. From intimate vocals to adventurous improvisations and boundless grooves: everything comes together on one night with three performances.
ZHIN
Three distinct voices, three different worlds. Coming together to explore freedom, pain and resilience through the eyes of women, Delaram Kafashzadeh, Anna Zavorina and Carolina Gemmell form ZHIN, a trio with vocals and strings performing original music in Farsi, Russian, English and Spanish. First presented as part of Jonge Makers at JazzFest Amsterdam 2026, the project has since continued to reach audiences through live performances.

Hermine Deurloo & Anton Goudsmit
Adventurous, warm and full of sharp wit: the new collaboration between harmonica player Hermine Deurloo and guitarist Anton Goudsmit is sure to bring joy to anyone who hears it. The duo’s debut album, Unfiltered, received glowing reviews. When it comes to the unique sound of the chromatic harmonica, Hermine Deurloo ranks among the very best performers in the world. Meanwhile, Anton Goudsmit’s guitar playing is instantly recognizable, defined by its vast dynamic range, stretching from raw and exuberant to understated and ethereal.

NAUSYQA
NAUSYQA challenges you to abandon expectations and surrender to the moment. ‘A breathtaking take on contemporary jazz, genuinely high-energy and adrenaline fueled’, is how UK Vibe has described the music of the Amsterdam band. Their album We Also Do Weddings is full of contrast, covering influences from indie rock to punk to electronica to psychedelic drum and bass. A celebration of Amsterdam’s jazz scene, it features contributions by Benjamin Herman, Reinier Baas, Ella Zirina, Marta Arpini and Lucia Fumero.
