In December 1996, a band of young firebrands turned the old BIMHUIS upside down with a fresh and contemporary sound. Now, thirty years later, the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw returns to where it all began for two special anniversary concerts.

This ‘world-class orchestra’ (All About Jazz) has shared the stage over the years with many national and international soloists, including Dr. Lonnie Smith, Chick Corea, Branford Marsalis and Oleta Adams. This anniversary is celebrated with The Jazz Influencers XL: two special concerts packed with special guests. You’ll hear the Jazz Influencers of then and the Jazz Influencers of now, side by side with one of the finest jazz orchestras in Europe.
