Jazz cellist and singer Hank Roberts is a household name in American folk, rock and jazz. His improvisations, soulful smooth melodies and powerful compositions are unique. He made a name for himself in the legendary New York downtown scene in the 1980s and, in his nearly 40-year career, has been on stage together with artists such as Gavin Friday, U2, Sting and Jeff Buckley. But he has always been wandering new paths throughout his career and he is doing that again. In 2018 he recorded Ghost Dance, a CD with the widely acclaimed young Italian trombonist Filippo Vignato. Now this unusual combination of cello and trombone performs at CELLOFEST. A discovery!
