    Emile Parisien continues to explore new roads. As a saxophonist he has collaborated with American jazz greats such as trumpeter Theo Croker, but also with the world famous techno DJ Jeff Mills. In his current band he opens up to influences from Indian music, with the help of tabla player Prabhu Edouard. This versatile musicians has regularly crossed the boundaries of tradition in projects with the likes of Joachim Kühn and Jordi Savall.

    Emile Parisien is regarded as one of the most important protagonists of contemporary jazz, in his home country France, and far abroad. At a young age, the soprano saxophonist applied at the jazz school in Marciac, home of the world famous festival Jazz in Marciac. There he learned from some of the greatest, including Wynton Marsalis, who guests on his album Sfumato Live.
