Third time’s the charm: after two sold-out concerts, the EHBO Quartet returns, this time with a brand-new album in tow. The line-up is unchanged: Han Bennink (drums), Ernst Glerum (bass), Benjamin Herman (saxophone) and Oscar Jan Hoogland (piano) present this new music in their own inimitable way, as befits true improvisers.

Han Bennink, known for collaborations with Dexter Gordon and Sonny Rollins and co-founder of the legendary Instant Composers Pool (ICP), forms the core of the quartet together with bassist Ernst Glerum. Saxophonist Benjamin Herman (New Cool Collective, plus countless projects of his own) and pianist Oscar Jan Hoogland, a central figure in Amsterdam’s improv scene, complete the ensemble.
