Amsterdam Dance Event

‘The funk circus is ready for take-off’: during ADE, Arp Frique and his ten-piece band transform our venue into a sanctuary of funk and gospel. Under the alias Arp Frique, Niels Nieuborg’s P-funk and gospel disco follow a clear recipe: vintage synths, sparkling bass lines, and swirling guitars.

Together with his band, Frique joins forces with a range of powerful vocalists: ‘son of a preacher man’ Brandon Delagraentiss from Texas and Rocq-E Harrell from LA, who has performed with legends such as Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Delagraentiss leads a choir called The Gospel Experience, of which selected members will also appear on our stage.

ISHA opens the night with songs and tracks that showcase her many talents: vocals, bass guitar, beats, electronics. She recently hit the studio with Tom Misch and Jordan Rakei for their Wildflower Artists Project, and has since then started crafting her debut album set to release in 2026. As a producer she collaborated with artists like Joe Hertz, Alfie Neale and MAX RAD. Live she has performed at, among others, The Great Escape, Isle of Wight, Red Light Jazz and Eurosonic.

Niels Nieuborg (Arp Frique) guitar, Marilonah Copra bass, Tez Thompson guitar/keys, Timothy Banchet keys, Noah Bouman drums, Marissa Nyamekye vocals, Rocq-E Harrell vocals, Brandon Delagraentiss vocals, Charmaine Charlemagne vocals, Jerelee Joanne Tholel vocals
