Together with 16 young musicians, saxophonist Kika Sprangers and percussionist Hashem Kabreet take you on an exciting musical journey through experimental jazz and warm-blooded folk music. In two days full of unexpected musical encounters and experimentation, eight students from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and eight musicians from the Middle East create a unique one-time concert, coached by Kika Sprangers and Hashem Kabreet. The starting points of the Orchestre Partout Labs are determined, the outcomes uncertain. Rapture, estrangement and infectious energy go hand in hand.

Saxophonist and composer Kika Sprangers is known for her captivating compositions that bring together vulnerability and strength. A theme in her musical quest is humanity, which was expressed in her debut album Human Traits (2019), among others. In 2025, she was awarded the North Sea Jazz Composition Commission, collaborating with the Nederlands Kamerkoor.

Co-host and co-creator of the Orchestre Partout Labs is Hashem Kabreet. The Syrian-born percussionist (frame drums/derbuka/cajon) and handpan player knows how to guide any diverse group of musicians through the creative process. Kabreet is the constant factor in all Orchestre Partout Labs.
