daoud

Sat 17 January 2026

Trumpeter and composer daoud makes jazz that doesn’t ask for approval. His music is contrarian, sometimes chaotic, sometimes tender, but always at odds with convention. With his latest album ok, he shows how he creates music from fragility and repetition, where failure is as important as perseverance.

Since the release of GOOD BOY (2024), he has played sold-out shows from Ronnie Scott’s in London to Montreux Jazz Festival. Live, daoud and his band members are unpredictable: his performances alternate between restrained moments and outbursts, constantly putting the genre’s rules under pressure.
