Bob Reynolds Group

Sat 2 June 2018

With his own band tenor saxophonist Bob Reynolds steps out of the shadow of crowd pullers such as Snarky Puppy and John Mayer. ‘Hip-swiveling jazz and funk’ (L.A. Times).

Soulful, danceable, dynamic, the missing link between Yellowjackets and D’Angelo: that’s how you could describe this Los Angeles-based group. The foursome started in 2015 and has been playing regular gigs in famous jazz clubs such as the Baked Potato and the Blue Whale, developing a natural-sounding blend of jazz, soul, R&B and pop. The release of the first Bob Reynolds Group album has just been released in May.

Saxophonist Bob Reynolds played for sold-out arenas with American stars such as John Mayer, Usher and Willie Nelson, and he’s a member of one of today’s most popular jazz bands, Snarky Puppy, but he also has success as a band leader and solo artist. He reached the top of the iTunes jazz charts and he built a large share of followers with his YouTube vlog. Pianist in the Bob Reynolds Group is Grammy winner Ruslan Sirota, who has collaborated with, among others, Kamasi Washington, Thundercat and Stanley Clarke.
