House rules

Social Safety  

We believe it is important that everyone feels welcome and safe when visiting us.  For this reason, we have the following house rules to keep in mind during your visit:   

• Treat everyone as equals, regardless of sex, gender expression, sexual orientation, skin color, age, social or cultural background  or any other personal characteristic  

• BIMHUIS does not tolerate any form of harassment and/or discrimination toward visitors, musicians, and staff  

If you feel unsafe during your visit, our staff is here to help you.   

Photographers, Video and Sound Recordings

It is not allowed to photograph during concerts without permission. Please register in advance via press@bimhuis.nl

Please take the following rules into account when taking photos:

• Don’t flash
• Do not come on stage or disturb musicians and / or the public in any other way
• Do not photograph during silent / intimate moments
• Do not use continuously lit screens that may be disturbing for visitors / musicians (such as with iPads / smartphones).
• Not all visitors appreciate being photographed / filmed
• The use of a muzzler (sound-insulating cover around the camera) is appreciated

Other house rules

• Dogs are not allowed (except guide dogs).
• You are not allowed to consume your own drinks.
• By order of the fire brigade, it is not permitted to take chairs and / or stools from the cafe to the room.
• There is no right to a refund of a once purchased card. Purchased tickets cannot be exchanged or returned.
  The General Visitor Conditions VSCD 2021 apply at the BIMHUIS. These were filed on September 27, 2021, at the Registry of the Amsterdam Court under number 50/2021. A copy of these conditions can be downloaded from here.
• Instructions from staff must be followed.
