Marquis Hill - 15 April

Benjamin Herman Trio - The Tokyo Sessions - 11 April
For those who love everything Japan has to offer
Saxophonist Benjamin Herman is one of the most idiosyncratic figures in Dutch jazz. His new album The Tokyo Sessions, recorded in Tokyo, is an ode to Japanese musical culture. The music moves from underground jazz through anime soundtracks to traditional parlour music. A concert for those who love experimentation.

New Jazz Underground - 3 May
For those who get viral jazz jams in their YouTube algorithm
American trio New Jazz Underground drew millions of viewers with living room jams on YouTube, building a reputation that now brings them to Europe on tour. Their music blends hard bop, hip-hop and modern soul. The step from screen to stage is a small one, and live it sounds a whole lot better.

Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw - 16 & 17 May
For those who want to start big
Big band is the classic entry point. Twenty musicians on stage, rich arrangements, unmistakable energy. The Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw celebrates its 30th anniversary with two special concerts. If you ever put on Frank Sinatra or Duke Ellington at home, you’re in the right place.
