Trumpeter Marquis Hill brings jazz into the present. Drawing on the old jazz tradition of musicians performing each other’s music, Hill invited fellow musicians to write a piece especially for him. The result combines post-bop and modern jazz with influences from R&B and hip-hop, performed by a strong live band.

The music moves from underground jazz through anime soundtracks to traditional parlour music. A concert for those who love experimentation.
