YURI HONING & FLORiS

Saxophone player Yuri Honing sees jazz as a language open to encounters with pop, classical, Arabic and electronic music. Phase Five is his collaboration with FLORiS, who produced the platinum debut album of Dutch jazz/pop group Room Eleven. Phase Five’s music is based on a collection of samples taken from the thirty of Honing’s own CDs. These samples were made into new songs with the help of such vocalists as Leine, Janne Schra, David Pino, Lilian Vieira and Sarah Bettens, the first three of whom will perform at this CD presentation.
