PREMIERE YOUNG VIPS TOUR 2012

The annual Young VIPS tour presents exceptional jazz and improvisation talent from The Netherlands. The double bill this year features two tenor saxophonists with different approaches. Iman Spaargaren plays tight and lyrical, as he used to do in the funk jazz group Captain Hook. Now he will perform with his own quartet. John Dikeman is a natural born improviser. His band Cactus Truck goes full steam ahead, swaying between delta blues, early jazz, no wave and Japanese noise.
