In BIMHUIS Productions‘ REFLEX series we invite makers to reflect on the world and contemporary society. For this edition, composer and viola player Yanna Pelser curated a remarkable ensemble with instruments such as recorder, vibraphone and modular synthesizer. In this line-up, Yanna Pelser will blend her own singing voice with those of two other multi-talented players, Evi Filippou from Greece and Veslemøy Narvesen, both of them percussionists.

Violist and composer Yanna Pelser unfolds her own intuitive sonic world by combining viola playing and singing. Firmly rooted in classical music, she now expands her horizon by playing with formations ranging from jazz and pop to free improvisation. On our stage she has performed with, among others, North Sea String Quartet and Tijn Wybenga’s Brainteaser Orchestra. She has also collaborated with the likes of Ambrose Akinmusire, Samora Pinderhughes and Asko|Schönberg.
