The enjoyment that comes across in the playing of Winther-Storm clearly indicated the founders of the band have been performing together for half their lives. Double bassist Thomas Winther Andersen and guitarist Håkon Storm, both born in Oslo, played in the group Line Up with saxophonist Jimmy Halperin. They have written fascinating contemporary music in the modern jazz tradition for their new band, which features Argentinean tenor player Natalio Sued and Dutch drummer Mark Coehoorn,. ‘Attractive and varied… themes are performed with incredible tightness and are propelled by supple bass lines’ (de Volkskrant).
