WIM BRONNENBERG CONNECTED

John Ruocco-saxophone, clarinet, Wim Bronnenberg-guitar, Uli Glaszmann-bass, Marcel Serierse-drums, Tilmar Junius-piano

Wim Bronnenberg (1962) used to be a pop guitarist until hearing Wes Montgomery’s Full House transformed him into a fervent lover of jazz. After finishing his musical studies in 1993 he played quite often with saxophonist Dick de Graaf. Bronnenberg’s recent album with his new group Connected, which includes the saxophonist, clarinettist John Ruocco got a rave review in De Volkskrant: “Just like pieces by Wayne Shorter the pretty melodies wend their whimsical way through the chords, taking surprising turns. Bronnenberg’s playing, his warm, full tone and capacity to make longer solos both absorbing and expressive, is one of the strengths of this charming yet spirited album”.
