WILL CALHOUN’S AZA feat. GREG OSBY, JEAN-PAUL BOURELLY

Greg Osby–alto saxophone, Jean-Paul Bourelly-guitar, Orrin Evans–piano, keyboards, Melvin Gibbs–bass,
Will Calhoun–drums, electronics

Will Calhoun, mainly known from the ‘black rock’ group Living Colour, doesn’t just count as one of the most important and innovative rock drummers but also as a leading drummer of the contemporary New York jazz scene. After a thrilling collaboration with Pharoah Sanders he brings on stage a group that is perhaps even more exciting in which you can find outstanding names like Osby and Gibbs ,but also the new incredibly talented pianist Orrin Evans and one of the successors of Jimi Hendrix, Jean-Paul Bourelly.
