WERNER HERBERS CONDUCTS ENSEMBLES OF THE ROYAL MUSIC CONSERVATORY
led by Werner Herbers, soloists: Merel Junge-violin, Yvonne Smeets-vocals
Werner Herbers conducts the Chamber Orchestra and Big Band of the Royal Music Conservatory. The program contains works by Erwin Schulhoff, Kurt Weill, George Handy, Robert Greattinger, Pete Rugolo and Franklyn Marks. Music on the edge of jazz and classical music from the first decades of the 20th century. Exciting, colorful, controversial (in those days) and sometimes scandalous music. In some cases Herbers had to do a great deal of research to find the original material for reconstruction.
