For over a decade, Wendy Eisenberg has been a fixture of independent music. As a singer-songwriter, improviser and virtuoso guitarist, Eisenberg’s artistic terrain shifts continuously: from art-rock and jazz to blistering free improv and powerful folk. Standouts in a substantial discography include the album Auto (2020) and the free-jazz record Viewfinder(2024).
After five years of experimenting across changing bands and genres, and an intensive period of self-reflection, a milestone has arrived. The self-titled album Wendy Eisenberg gathers poetic folk songs with a daring form: by the artist’s own account, their most certain vision yet. Tonight, Eisenberg brings this new music to our stage.
This concert is organized in collaboration with The Rest is Noise and Subbacultcha. The Rest is Noise is a series by Muziekgebouw for unconventional makers who push boundaries and connect worlds. Subbacultcha is a platform for alternative music and emerging artists, aimed at a curious audience.
