Weave4 is a collective that brings together two generations of world-class artists and longtime collaborators: French maestro Benoît Delbecq on piano and his British companion Steve Arguëlles on drums interweave their playing with that of two Italian innovators, Francesco Bigoni on tenor sax and Francesco Diodati on guitar and electronics. All four members provide the compositions that continuously transform through their organic playing, interweaving melodies, rhythms and open sounds.

Pianist Benoît Delbecq sets his own pace in French jazz, unaffected by trends. Since the 1990s he has performed on our stage in various line-ups, most recently with Mark Turner. He often collaborates with Steve Argüelles, who’s known as a drummer in British jazz formations led by the likes of Django Bates and Gilad Atzmon. Bigoni and Diodati made name In the bands of Enrico Rava. The eponymous debut album by Weave4 was recorded in Paris and released by Parco Della Musica Records.
