WATERLAND TRIO

Loek Dikker has been leading many Waterland formations since the 70’s, for instance which this trio with alto player Leo van Oostrom and drummer Pierre Courbois with which he already performed at the Bimhuis in 1975. The repertoire consists of Dikker’s compositions written in the jazz tradition but with influences from folk, classical and film music. The latter is not surprising since besides being a highly respected jazz pianist, Dikker composes for theater, dance and film and was awarded with a Gouden Kalf and a Saturn Award, a.o., for his large oeuvre of film scores.
