It is undeniable that Wallace Roney is inspired by Miles Davis (Roney is the only trumpet player that had Davis as a mentor), but you can also trace the exuberance of Clifford Brown in his playing, that shows an impressive mastering of the instrument but also abroad stylistic interest.
