Ethiopian music inspired guitarist Mark Tuinstra, bassist Jasper de Beer (Bernie’s Lounge) and drummer Yonga Sun (Talking Cows) to form the groove band Oruga. Tonight the group will be expanded with two renowned soloists: Wolter Wierbos on trombone and Oene van Geel on violin.

Rudder is informed by a wide variety of music, from Bootsy Collins via Led Zeppelin to Radiohead. The American cult band creates a kind of underground grunge jazz, which is described in the American press as ‘hard-driving, aggressive exploratory jazz’!
