The two day VOICES AMSTERDAM is a tribute to all vocalists that managed to secure a place on the international music stages, away from the established styles. A large number of prominent musicians meet in a series of short performances, in various settings, from a couple of minutes to a full set. Some parts of the program are planned (among which the world premieres of Anne la Berge, Alison Isadora, Michael Moore and Huib Emmer), other parts will be created on the spot. On Saturday afternoon Guus Janssen, Wim Janssen, Raoul van der Weide, Joost Buis, Beppe Costa and Conny de Vugt will perform the program Zing Zang Mengelberg, with songs of Misha Mengelberg, for the audience to sing along with (all ages). Special thanks to: Fonds voor de Scheppende Toonkunst, Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst, ThuisKopie Fonds, Fonds voor de Amaterkunst and Podiumkunsten. Instead of the regular a la carte menu there will be a buffet in the Bimhuiscafe-restaurant, from 7pm, euro 15 (reservations +31 (0)20 788 2158)
