VINICIUS CANTUARIA QUARTET

Brazilian singer-songwriter Vinicius Cantuaria plays an intoxicating form of samba and bossa nova popularized by Tom Jobim and Caetano Veloso, for whom he wrote the global hit, ‘Lue e Estrella’. Cantuaria worked with superstars such as Gilberto Gil and Chico Buarque, as well as with his admirers David Byrne and Bill Frisell, both of whom he met in his current residency New York. Influenced by the city, Cantuaria shows increasingly more of his adventurous and eccentric side.
