URSULA RUCKER TAMANGO’S URBAN TAP THE DINING ROOMS DJ EDO SALGADO

K-SWISS KONNECTED BIMHUIS II

K-Swiss Konnected connects cultures, communities and people. Ursula Rucker navigates between spoken word, singing and poetry. On the debut album of the German Jazzanova, her voice was one of their great trump cards. But she is also very powerful on her solo albums. Her third CD Ma’ At Mama is full of sharp lines about Bush, violence against women and discrimination. Urban Tap is the melting pot of the famous French Guianese dancer Tamango. The varying ensemble of dancers, acrobats and musicians had a worldwide success with a mix of street dance, hiphop, jazz and tap dance. For K-Swiss Konnected, Tamango brings percussionist Bonga and freestyle dancer Belina Becker to the stage. The relatively anonymous Italian lounge duo The Dining Rooms developed itself into a mature band. On their most recent album Experiments in Ambient Soul (Schema Records) Stefano Ghittoni and Cesare Malfatti experiment with jazz rhythms, vocals and modern funk. On stage the duo will be assisted by bass player, drummer, vocalist Sean Martin and video artist Maria Arena. The young Amsterdam DJ talent Edo Salgado, known from the Teleskope and Spirit nights in the Amsterdam club scene (Sugarfactory and 11) connects the three performances with his soulful beats.
