Uriel Herman Quartet

Uriel Weinberger woodwinds, Uriel Herman piano, Avri Borochov double bass, Haim Peskoff drums

Pianist Uriel Herman dissolves the boundaries between classical music, jazz, and more. Whether he performs a piece by Chopin, a Brazilian melody, or songs by Bowie and Nirvana, he manages to keep it personal. From vulnerable and intimate to fiery and virtuosic: the Israeli pianist clearly has a wide register. On our stage he will be accompanied by his own band.

This year sees the release of the new album by Uriel Herman, on which he consciously applies contrast. On the first half, he looks back on two years of isolation and loneliness, with introverted solo and duo pieces. On the rest of the album he celebrates his rediscovered freedom with the members of his quartet, with whom he has been playing for eight years now.
