PRESENTATION VPRO/BOY EDGAR PRIZE 2010 TO ANTON GOUDSMIT

‘He throws himself into his performance with unbridled energy and he’s always out for musical adventure’, says the jury of the VPRO/Boy Edgar Prize 2010 about ‘Holland’s most amusing jazz guitarist’ Anton Goudsmit. ‘He’s able to express himself in loud solos as well as tasteful and subtle accompaniments’. These are great compliments for Goudsmit, a versatile virtuoso who also enjoys stimulating young talents. Goudsmit himself selected the musical acts on this special night on which he will receive The Netherlands’ most prestigious award for jazz and improvised music.
