The Uitmarkt (Out Market) is the national opening of the new Dutch cultural season that traditionally takes place on the last weekend in August. Just like last year the Uitmarkt will be held in the Oostelijk Havengebied (Eastern Harbour Area). With more than 450 free entrance showcases on 30 stages, some 500.000 visitors get a taste of the what the new season has in store. From ballet to hip-hop, theatre to jazz.
