In Tyft, the surprise of the Try Tone Festival 2006, an important part is for the ground breaking guitar sound of Hilmar Jensson. ‘In Tyft, I can give a full rein to my maximalistic urges’ said the guitarist. ‘Tyft plays howling and slashy punk jazz that sometimes tends towards heavy funk.’ (NRC Handelsblad). Andrew D’Angelo and Jim Black played at a sold out Bimhuis this year with the group Human Feel.
