Ancient melodies from Anatolia serve as a basis for the swinging, grooving music of Turkish singer-songwriter Rukin Bari and his pan-European band. Special guests are Yaniv Nachum on soprano sax and Şinasi Celayiroglu on classical, electric and fretless guitars. Swing and joy are also important ingredients for Komşu, the new Turkish-Amsterdam band with singer Tülin Karataş. Their guest Göksel Baktagir is master of the kanun, the Turkish zither. The list of artists with whom he has played includes Mercan Dede and Peter Gabriel.
