TRIO VAN BINSBERGEN/OFFERMANS/SUN & MATTHIAS SCHRIEFL

Guitarist Corrie van Binsbergen makes music for and with everybody. With her new trio she plays music that she describes as ‘songs without words’. Van Binsbergen, bass player Hein Offermans and drummer Yonga Sun play harmonious music with a groove and with room for spontaneous ideas. The wild card at this gig is Matthias Schriefl, a major talent on trumpet and a great band leader. The young German musician is praised for his multiphonic techniques and sense of humour. Earlier this year his group Shreefpunk played at the Bimhuis together with a big band.
