TRIO RIESSLER / LEVY / MATINIER

Michael Riessler-bass clarinet, Howard Levy-piano, harmonica, Jean-Louis Matinier-accordion

Michael Riessler, one of the most fascinating German jazz musicians of this time, worked with Steve Reich, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Carla Bley and Zappa-drummer Terry Bozzio. Howard Levy is a virtuoso who caused a revolution in the vocabulary of the harmonica. Matinier was shining in the world jazz of Renaud Garcia-Fons and Anouar Brahem. Together they produce a very colorful blend of European and African-Arabian folklore.
