TRIO LICHTBLICK: MARKUS STOCKHAUSEN / ANGELO COMISSO / CHRISTIAN THOMÉ

Markus Stockhausen has found his calling as the ‘sound aesthete among jazz trumpet players’ (Jazz Thing). The meditative jazz of his trio Lichtblick references the European classical tradition. Markus has performed classical as well as pop music and for 25 years he has collaborated with his father, the famous avant-garde composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. In Lichtblick he plays his own music and compositions by pianist Angelo Comisso, which are given extra depth by Christian Thomé’s sophisticated percussion.
