The Toon Roos Group plays a sonorous blendof jazz, Latin and funk, led by the lyrical sax sound of its leader. Steely Dan invited the group as the support act for their recent tour. Peter Erskine and Alex Acuna of Weather Report collaborated as drummer, percussionist and composer on the CD Angel Dance. Tonight Toon Roos presents a special edition of Angel Dance that includes a DVD. ‘A master on soprano and tenor sax, and a master composer’ (Noord Hollands Dagblad).
