TONY MALABY’S TAMARINDO

Three giants from the forward-looking New York jazz scene collaborate in Tamarindo. The eponymous CD signaled a breakthrough for saxophone player Tony Malaby. His melodic phrases on tenor and soprano sax set the tone for adventurous ensemble playing, from soft whispers to ecstatic crescendos.
