TINEKE POSTMA QUARTET

The career of saxophone player Tineke Postma is taking off in a spectacular fashion. Her fresh, contemporary sounding CD The Traveller was recorded with American musicians Terri Lynne Carrington, Gerri Allen and Scott Colley. Postma studied in New York with Dave Liebman and Chris Potter. At the Bimhuis she has performed with Esperanza Spalding, Ernst Glerum and Han Bennink. ‘She is a remarkable talent and will most certainly kill stateside audiences’ (Jazz Times).
