TIN MEN & THE TELEPHONE AND MOORE/JANSSEN/GLERUM/JANSSEN/VAN GEEL

Everyday sounds, such as mobile phones, call centers, car navigators, pets and football commentators are incorporated in the catchy music of Tin Men and the Telephone. The three young Amsterdam-based players link jazz from present and past to hip hop, Balkan music and compositions by Messiaen. ‘Edgy approaches in exciting jazz’ (NRC). Improv trio Janssen/Glerum/Janssen, renowned for its razor sharp renditions of concise compositions, will be augmented with reedist Michael Moore and violist Oene van Geel.
