TIN HAT

Tin Hat plays chamber music for the 21st century, integrating acoustic music from every era and all parts of the globe. Mark Orton (guitar/dobro) and Carla Kihlstedt (violin/vocals) are constants in the various incarnations of Tin Hat since its foundation in 1997. Tin Hat’s best work was recently re-recorded for the live album Foreign Legion. ‘Their haunting and strangely familiar music… is a soundtrack for the kind of puzzling dream which leaves you sitting awake in the middle of the night’ (New Yorker).
